The Lash Growth Cycle

Like all hair, there are three phases to the eyelash growth cycle.

Anagen: Active Growth Phase. Only 40% of the upper eyelashes are in active growth at any one time.  This phase lasts for 30-45 days.

Catagen:  Transition Phase. When the eyelash stops growing and the follicle shrinks.  This lasts 2-3 weeks.

Telogen: Resting Phase. Can last over 100 days before the eyelashes fall out.

There are some lashes in each phase at all times, therefore, some will be lost each day as part of the natural cycle.
